On-device · Irish trail companion
Your companion for Irish pubs, wild swimming, sessions, and heritage.
Discover pubs, wild swimming spots, traditional music sessions, and heritage — then plan trips, keep a journal, and track your personal trail. Built for iPhone and iPad, with your progress stored on your device.
What it does
Hearthlane turns scattered tips, half-remembered pubs, and loose travel notes into a structured companion — from the first pint to a day on the trail.
Browse an Ireland-wide map of pubs, wild waters, springs & spas, and traditional sessions — then open any place for details and trail actions.
Explore pubs across Ireland and the diaspora with filters, county crawls, and visit logging so your favourite houses stay on your trail.
Find coastal dips, springs, and swim spots with safety notes, a personal swim log, and an optional weather peek when you’re ready to go in.
Locate traditional music venues, check etiquette guidance, mark tunes practiced, and keep a wishlist of sessions worth returning to.
Read lore and articles, learn Irish phrases, browse festivals and food, follow culture collections, and take quizzes to build your streak.
Plan trip days, keep a journal with photos, track checklists and achievements, and optionally run a Trail Day Live Activity on the Lock Screen.
About
Hearthlane is an independent Irish culture and travel companion for iPhone and iPad. We made it for travellers and locals who want one steady place for pubs, wild swimming, sessions, and heritage — without accounts, clutter, or noise.
Inside the app you explore a discover map, build a pub atlas, log wild waters, find traditional sessions, read heritage lore, and shape your personal trail with trips and journal entries. Your visits, notes, and progress stay on your device.
Hearthlane is not affiliated with Tourism Ireland, Fáilte Ireland, any pub, venue, festival organiser, or local authority. Place listings and lore are curated for cultural discovery and travel planning; always check current opening times, access, and safety conditions yourself.
Privacy policy
Hearthlane is designed around local storage. We do not operate user accounts, and we do not sell your personal information.
Effective date: July 28, 2026 · Last updated: July 28, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Hearthlane (the “Application”) handles information when you use our Irish culture and travel companion app. The Application is provided by David Tamayo, California, United States (“we”, “us”, or “our”).
Hearthlane does not require an account, sign-up, or login. We do not run third-party analytics or advertising trackers, and we do not operate a backend that stores your trail or journal.
The following data is stored locally on your device only:
If you allow location access, the Application may use your approximate location on device to suggest nearby pubs, swim spots, or sessions when you ask. Location is not sent to our servers — we do not operate servers that receive it.
Core content (pubs, swims, sessions, heritage, and related catalogs) ships with the app for offline use. When you open swim details, the app may optionally request a weather snapshot from Open-Meteo using the place’s coordinates. That request does not include your name, account, or journal content. If the request fails, the feature simply degrades gracefully.
Hearthlane does not integrate TMDB, RAWG, advertising SDKs, or analytics networks.
If you enable daily-fact notifications or a Trail Day Live Activity, those features use Apple’s system frameworks on your device (and an App Group shared with the Hearthlane widget extension for on-device trail progress). We do not receive Lock Screen or notification content on our servers.
Because we do not collect personal data on our servers, there is nothing for us to profile, share, or sell. Map, Pub Atlas, Wild Waters, Sessions, Heritage, and My Trail operate using data stored on your device.
Your content remains in the app’s private storage (and the shared App Group used by the widget). There is no cloud sync and no remote backup operated by us. Deleting the app permanently removes associated local data from your device.
The Application does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Because no personal data is collected or transmitted to us, the app aligns with COPPA and similar child-privacy standards.
You can edit or delete local entries at any time inside the app, revoke location or notification permissions in iOS Settings, or uninstall the Application to remove stored content from your device.
We may update this policy to reflect app improvements or legal requirements. When we do, we will revise the effective date above. The core commitment — local storage, no accounts, no sale of personal data — will not change without clear notice.
